Weslo Cadence R 5.2 Treadmill review

The Weslo Cadence R 5.2 is a treadmill designed with saving space as one of the more primary focuses. Anyone who has ever bought a treadmill knows they can be a pain to store away just because of the sheer size of them. However in the R 5.2 treadmills case, it doesn’t take up that much room, but at the same time allows the runner enough space to go about his daily exercise regimes without feeling too enclosed.

It runs on a 2.25 horse power motor. That is a decent amount of power that will make sure you are working hard in your workouts with a certain degree of intensity. While much of that is down to the user, it is important to understand what the motor is capable of. Designed with durability in mind the motor will accommodate light to the most intense workouts that will have you burning off calories in no time.

The running belt area dimensions are 16 by 50 inches which is complimented by it’s innovative cell cushioning design to help reduce the amount of stress on your knees and joints. A nice touch for those of you who tend to be more injury prone or coming back from injury.

It can handle user weights of up to two hundred and fifty pounds which is similar to it’s competitors in this price range and the product itself weighs 118 lbs indicating it is not going to be back breaking work moving this treadmill around the house or gym.

Workout features

The Weslo Cadence R 5.2 Treadmill comes equipped with a decent amount of workout programs, six in total. Each one has been specially designed by a qualified personal trainer, to help you reach your weight loss targets. In addition to the useful workout apps, there is also a quickspeed control feature which allows the treadmill user to change the belt speed between zero to ten miles per hour with a simple push of a button. Some treadmills tend to require you going through lists of options on the computer display, that is not the case here which I think is great.

It also includes a incline setting which allows the user to position the running belt to simulate hill running and climbs. All of this will help towards getting a great workout.

Record your time, speed, distance and calories burned with the LCD computer display. Again nothing revolutionary here, but certainly one that has become a regular fixture on almost all exercise equipment nowadays.

Customer reviews

Comments about the Weslo Cadence R 5.2 Treadmills features from customers around the web for the most part talk about how happy they are with the treadmill. A fair amount of comments about the space saving properties and a fair few about the workout given.

Some reviewers comment that the instructions were left out, which you can understand is a problem with original set up speed. However these are in the minority and it seems the majority didn’t have the same issue.

Summary

While the Weslo Cadence R 5.2 is never going to be the most high tech treadmill on the market, or the most powerful, you do get a treadmill that gets the job done with incline climb settings, a reasonable amount of workout programs, and lets not forget the fact that this treadmill saves space well.

In addition to the above it should be noted that this should be considered by user on a tight budget, or those of you looking for a treadmill on a tight budget. For something more advanced or considered the next level up, take a look at some of our reviews in the sidebar.
