Personally, when looking for a new piece of equipment, regardless of the type there are certain things I look out for before delving deeper into the specs. Number one, always check if it has some form of tech in place to reduce impact on your legs and feet. This is one of the major reasons why people pick up injuries on treadmills, if the model has something in place to counter this such as the AIRTECH cushioning on this one, you could be onto a winner

Secondly, if you are working with a limited amount of space, always check if it is able to fold or not. In this case, yes it is. However, the second rule may not apply to you, if you have a larger than average home gym. But it is handy when it does offer such a feature simply because it is so easy to store away when not in use and less chance to trip up on it. So with my first two rules said and done, let’s move on to the various specifications offered.

  • Built to be both quiet and smooth. Making it suitable for most family home environments.
  • Runs on a 2.8 CHP Motor. A decent amount of power and performance that will definitely enable users to improve their fitness by pushing themselves harder for longer. It allows users to run at speeds of up to 10 miles per hour.
  • Users have the choice of setting a climb or incline to the belt. Very effective at increasing intensity and work rate which in turn will help users achieve their weight loss goals quicker.
  • Plenty of workout apps and plenty of workout statistics to track such as speed and distance.
  • Easily track the quarter mile mark using the consoles unique interactive features. Take down your time and constantly endeavor to improve upon it.
  • As mentioned above, it has a useful space saving design that allows it to fold up. Users with smaller rooms will really appreciate this as the non-folding types often double up as a table for packaging and whatever else you need to store, meaning there will be a good chance of it getting damaged in the process. However, with this model, simply fold it up and store it away in a corner, out of the way.
  • A weight capacity of up to 300 pounds means it has the durability and structural strength to handle the majority of users, heavy or light.
  • The tread belt gives users lots of running space to work with. It measures at 20 inches by 55 inches.
  • When fully implemented and installed in your gym, the treadmill as a whole will measure at 73 inches L by 36 inches W by 63 inches H.

Why not check out the features of similar models on our treadmill reviews section or alternatively, why not check out our review of the Reebok Competitor RT 6.0 for comparison purposes? It’s always a smart idea to check out similar models in the market to understand the value of a particular settings and functions in others.

If you are looking to improve upon an already impressive set of gym equipment, or if you are someone who has a above average budget, looking for a good quality piece of cardio equipment, then the Reebok V 6.80 is definitely one to watch. Plenty of features and specifications to keep your workout both intensive and effective, plus a strong comfortable design that helps reduce each stride turnovers impact on users joints.
