Schwinn a10 upright bike review

The Schwinn a10 is a fantastic exercise bike with some unique features that will only help in enhancing your exercise experience. This is a model suited for users who are on a fairly tight budget. However, this does not automatically mean you would be getting a low end product which will do you no good. Far from it in fact. Users around the web have been singing the a10 bike praises.

While their are newer models out such as the 170 from Schwinn, you will find that older models can be found with some great discounts, and that is the case here with the A10.

So what exactly are you getting when you purchase this budget exercise bike? Users would often expect a low price to mean a lower quality end product or one that breaks easily but that is not always the case. There are some hidden gems in the market and if you are willing to dig for them you could end up saving a boatload of cash. Here are a few of the Schwinn A10’s features:

  • It comes with built in workout programs. There are seven in total. Now this is nothing out of the ordinary, but it is nice to know budget models are trying to offers users a excellent workout experience by offering these programs. Even if it’s only used for the motivation, exercise programs can go a long way in helping riders stay focused on their goals in weight loss/toning/building endurance.
  • No surprise that it runs on magnetic endurance. It offers a nice amount of difficulty levels (8 in total) that will give everyone a chance to get fit no matter what their current health or fitness levels are.
  • As you progress, you may want to take note of key exercise statistics such as speed, time taken, and calories burned. The A10 offers all of these stats and more with a built in grip heart rate monitor. All of the statistics can be viewed on the LCD monitor on the front of the bike.
  • When I sit on a exercise bike, or any piece of cardio equipment for that matter, I like to feel comfortable. For me at least user comfort should be one of the main things that should be built into a design. So lets talk about the A10’s comfort features. Schwinn have offered users both a contoured and padded seat, plus the ability to raise and lower the seat so that you can ride where you feel most comfortable. In addition to this, the handle bars are angled in such a way so that you can place your hands in different positions until you find the place which offers the least stress on the wrists and arms. Being comfortable while exercising will help you keep your mind on the tasks or goals you are trying to achieve and not why you are aching.
  • Offers a reasonably Smooth & quiet operation plus additional levelers give users a sturdy, safe and stable piece of cardio equipment to burn those calories off.
  • Caters for the vast majority of users, supporting user weights of up to 275 pounds, a testament to it’s sturdiness, and durability.

Similar upright bikes that are worth looking into for comparison include the Schwinn 150 and the ProForm 2.0 ES. There is certainly some similarities there in terms of workout functionality and the overall amount of options available to riders.

The Schwinn a10 is definitely one of the front runners when it comes to budget upright exercise bikes. Naturally your won’t get all the features offered on the high end machines, but for a lower end bike, it is really good. A solid piece of equipment offering statistics, workout programs plus a respectable amount of resistance difficulty levels. But don’t take my word for it you can also view our other exercise bike reviews using the sidebar, or check out the customer reviews here.
