Exerpeutic 650 elliptical trainer review

The 650 elliptical is designed to be one of Exerpeutic’s most quiet and smooth elliptical trainers. When it’s marketed as being able to hear a pin drop, one becomes intrigued. Based in the mid price tier, there is plenty of positives to find hidden in it’s spec list.

It also offers and exceptional range of exercise features including many different difficulty levels and a flywheel that goes both forwards and backwards which can be used to work different muscle fibers.

Features and specifications

So, what can you expect upon getting your hands on this elliptical? Well we for one believe that there is several functions that can make or break your training. Let’s not forget that with most mid tier price machines tend to lack a certain stability structure wise. That is not at all the case here according to our research. Find out a bit more about the inner workings and specs below.

I believe the best place to start is the overall design aspect. What we have here is a solid frame with durable parts that are built to handle up to 350 pounds. Yes this is the manufacturers recommendation, and yes it’s certainly well above the industry average at this price. It tells us two things really, we have a level of stability we often wish to acquire within fitness equipment plus durability that is built to hold it’s own against the constant intensive workouts we throw at it.

What makes the design more interesting is you come to expect stronger machines being a bit clunky and noisy. This isn’t the case here. It is built to be incredibly quiet and smooth which allows users to focus on keeping their strides consistent and steady.

The flywheel brings a new dimension to the training with dual direction control putting the user in the driving seat behind the choice of peddling forwards or backwards. Training either way is going to hit your various muscle groups differently and have many benefits.

Stride length is still quite important in our books and with a 23 inch length, this one allows you to really stretch out, push your boundaries and test your fitness. According to Exerpeutic, when you look at similar brands at a comparable price, this is well above the usual (20% in fact) which is very impressive and hints at the overall value for money.

Training wise, people will be treated to sixteen differing levels of resistance. Each one a new barrier to hurdle. The sheer variation in difficulty is a major factor in my personal decisions when buying a new elliptical due to the fact I like to know if I’ll be able to push myself in the near future as I progress.

Additionally, twelve workout applications improve the effectiveness of your training, should you wish to use them. The computer console display is an extremely efficient way of getting useful workout data quickly.

Product dimensions are: 70 inches length by 36 inches width by 60 inches height.
